You aren't alone, unless you choose to be of course.
How about if this was not so (from a realistic perspective): U came alone; U live in a unique world (exception: momentarily someone passing by, and they all pass by all the time); you sleep your own; and when you finally depart, you go all alone.
Your quote, anyways, is a good reflection--for all those--who think they are part (I, and Thou--applical to a secular, religious, spiritual, mundane, material, etc.), not apart.
Stay united (as you say the whole world is...)
